Through the ages water has always provided a calming influence. Water features to your pool can continue to add that relaxing quality. Any decorative water touch to your pool is considered a water feature. Fountains, waterfalls, lingering raised spillways, stream beds, and water curtains all provide soothing sound and the appearance of running water. Natural pools tend to be incorporated with one or more water features to help it more closely resemble nature. Modern water features utilize reclaimed water systems that circulate the same water through that feature. Water features can be constructed from rock, stone, stainless steel, copper, brass or nearly any other material customized to fit your specifications. Keep in mind that the water enhancement should blend with the design and theme of your pool environment. A beach style pool can even have a wave-like entrance. Small sculptured wall scuppers, or openings allowing the water to flow from them, of adobe or designer features can add a focal point for your pool . Your pool designer can assist you in using water features to develop your desired pool look.
